A two-day global event facilitated over 150 Chief Information Officers, IT leaders from across key industry verticals embarked on a technological emprise on 14 – 15 March 2018 at The Leela Mumbai.
Mumbai, 22nd March – The Seventh Edition Big CIO Show and Awards cleared the deck in India’s commercial capital for the leading Chief Information Executives, IT leaders & tech gurus from around the world. The show which saw some of the brightest thought leaders in the IT industry, kicked off with a welcome address by Mohammed Saleem, CEO of Trescon; and the opening keynote address was presented by Chairwoman Danielle Di-Masi, winner of 2016 Stevie Award for ‘Most Innovative Communications Professional of the Year’.
45+ speakers of the show strongly emphasized a concise and structured framework that needs to be adopted by companies in order to excel in their technological initiatives and why it is the best time to adapt technologies of that future that fall under IR 4.0. Big CIO Show & Awards turned into a gathering of cutting edge thoughts for implementing technology in different sectors. IT experts present at the show conceptualized on basic business challenges and discovered solutions for the future technology.

Data analytics forms the foundation, leveraging to new technology is the second pillar, making technology real-time is third and eventually, building self-autonomous systems in industries forms the fourth pillar,” said Dr. Satyam Priyadarshy, Chief Data Scientist at Halliburton, and Trescon’s very own advisory board member while delivering his intent in an open discussion with audience.
Big CIO Show & Awards, spread across two days had an event format like never before. Surprisingly, a CIO event included sessions like motivational talk by Nikhil Desai, a motivational speaker who has showed up on TV and radio in India, USA, Philippines, South Africa and Oman discussing stress management. The show additionally included an hour-long yoga session by Isha Foundation, an initiative of the Yogi Sadhguru.
One of the stand out session of the show was an all-woman panel discussion which brought together top woman IT experts discussing ‘Woman CIOs in the IT industry’, where the panel being elegantly moderated by Danielle Di-Masi. Other panelists included Vipin Luthra, Associate Director, PepsiCo; Ritu Madbhavi, CIO, FCB Ulka Advertising; Vineeta Singh, Co-founder, FAB BAG and Anuprita Daga, CISO, Reliance Capital Ltd. The panel spread the light on various issues like cultural & gender biases affecting the female leadership in the IT sector.
Two special workshops were conducted by Avaya on ‘reinventing the customer experience strategy’ and by Digital Ocean on ‘how to scale business on the cloud.’ Participants saw numerous insights on how to re-invent a customer experience strategy and how to effectively manage data on the cloud, respectively.
Maitreya Parikh, Senior Manager – Territory Sales – BFSI (India), Thales e-Security said in an interview, “The pre-qualification process & a dedicated event for CIOs are two of the catchy things for us.
