Bangalore, 20 June 2017 – The Sixth Edition Big CIO Show gathered top Indian and global CIOs, IT leaders, industry experts and some of the best solution providers under one roof at JW Marriott Juhu in Mumbai.
High-profile Indian and international IT thinkers gave 100s attendees a glimpse of best practices on various topics like Blockchain, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Datacentre & Analytics and Digital Transformation.
‘Unleashing Innovation – The Future Is Here’ was the central theme of the show and it featured a host of national and international tech leaders who took part in keynotes, panel discussions, fire-side chats, lightning talks and dedicated workshops.
The key topic of the opening address by Dr Paritosh Basu, Senior Professor, NMIMS University, Mumbai, was on the ‘future of IT.’ He said, “Information System can be used for minimisation of value destruction and maximization of value creation”.
The keynote presentation presented by Axel Angeli, Digital Transformation Evangelist & Advisory Board Member, Trescon was about the Digital Industrial Revolution. The subject of the keynote focused on what the future of Digital Transformation will promise, what participation it demands and how an affluence of new professions, technology and challenges will deprecate old habits of the social life.
Other notable highlights of the show included a keynote presentation by Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman, NASSCOM Foundation & 5F World, on Digital platform for Digital Skills. His keynote addressed what exactly are the skills needed to impart to the workforce of tomorrow.
Two young researchers from India, Yash Bhardwaj & Yuvraj Bhardwaj, Co-Founders, Zenith Vipers and Incuspaze gave a lightning talk on how to question and analyse things that already exists.
Leonel Da Costa, from Kodak Alaris Information Management conducted a workshop on ‘Future of Digital Transformation’. And Steven Nunez Senior, MapR conducted a workshop on ‘Identifying and exploiting the keys to digital transformation’.
Vice President – IT & PE, EMEA, American Tower Corporation, South Africa, Antonios Tony Christo Doulou conducted a workshop on ‘Data Excellence and leading to the journey of Business Intelligence’.
The 2nd day of the show included discussions on Blockchain, Digital Transformation and Robotics where industry experts talked about the transformative change these technologies have.
Speakers such as Aleksander Nowak, Tony Christou Doulou, Leonel Da Costa, Amit Anand and Steven Nunez strongly emphasized a concise and structured framework that needs to be adopted by companies in order to excel in their technological initiatives and why it is the best time to adapt future technologies.
